Did you know that approximately one-third of VC’s budget comes from private individual contributions? VC is a non-profit organization that operates on a balanced budget, so the support that we receive from the community directly affects how many programs we can offer, and the breadth and scope of our programs.

A gift to VC is 100% tax deductible, and supports VC's programs, such as: Preservation, Media Education, Armed With a Camera Fellowship, and Presentation. Our donors are a special group of individuals known as the VC Stakeholders. Visual Communications relies on the growing support of the VC Stakeholders each year to keep our programs thriving and available in Los Angeles. Your generous gifts helps us to meet today's demands, and also ensures a promising and exciting future for Asian American media.

STOCK

A gift of appreciated stock to Visual Communications could mean considerable income tax advantage to you. In general, if the stock has been held longer than one year, you are eligible for a tax deduction equal to its full fair market value. In addition, you avoid paying the capital gains tax on the appreciation because VC is a non-profit organization.

MATCHING GIFTS

Many employers support the spirit of individual philanthropy by matching your donation. A matching gift is a wonderful way to increase the impact of your gift to VC. If your company partcipates in a matching gifts program, please be sure to request the Matching Form from your company and submit it to VC along with your donation. VC will verify the completed form and return it to your employer, and the company will issue a matching gift contribution to VC.

ASIAN PACIFIC COMMUNITY FUND

Visual Communications is a member of the Asian Pacific Community Fund (APCF), a network of community organizations focused on enhancing the lives of Asian Pacific Islanders throughout Los Angeles County. Established in 1990, APCF is the only Asian and Pacific Islander community-based fund in Southern California.
