Education

Media education is a fundamental part of Visual Communications’ mission. We see media training as teaching people how to use traditional and new media to tell their stories and create meaningful work, and providing an outlet to share these stories with their communities.

VC ACADEMY

The VC Academy is a media learning center that offers film, animation and digital arts training for all levels of community youth, adults and professionals.

COMMUNITY MEDIA TRAINING & NONPROFIT PARTNERSHIPS
VC seeks to partner with nonprofit organizations interested in using filmmaking and digital media training as a part of your programs. Partner organizations can be large or small, and have missions serving various needs and communities, including youth empowerment, older adult learners and senior services, community and economic development, public health, immigration and civil rights, LGBT services, and other issues affecting the Asian American community.

VC is currently partnered with the Little Tokyo Service Center Community Development Corporation to present Digital Histories, a digital documentary class for senior citizens and older adults age 65 or better.
