Since its inception in 1970, VC recognized that making motion pictures and multi-media products was only half the job of re-envisioning a community. VC presents public screenings of the best in Asian American cinema, including feature length and short films, narratives and documentaries, spanning the traditional and cutting edge.
LOS ANGELES ASIAN PACIFIC FILM FESTIVAL
Every year in May, VC presents The Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival: a 10-day showcase of new work by established filmmakers and emerging artists alike. The Festival is a wonderful gathering place and kicks off Asian Pacific Heritage Month in Los Angeles. It draws a crowd of 15,000 - 20,000 individuals each year.
THE VC SCREEN
Join VC for sneak peeks and special film exhibitions outside of the Film Festival. Events are produced year-round in partnership with filmmakers, artists, and community partners.
MONDAY NITE VC
Monday Nite VC: filmmaker salons in an intimate setting, screening new and cutting-edge work from the Asian American artist community in Los Angeles.
