Asuncion, a beautiful soprano with a haunting voice and kolorete in her suitcase pays a visit to a rural village, stirring both banality and carnality among the townspeople, especially on Isabel and Theresa, two admiring young women adopted by Prayle Antarez. Luciano helps Prayle Antarez stage a play as a sugarcoated insult on Don Andres, the Mayor, who keeps his humiliation in check. He will make the play the best entertainment the friar has ever seen with the help of Elias, the sabungero, and brother Isagani who covets Asuncion for reasons deeper than lust. Magdalena, the town socialite, envies Asuncion when the latter becomes part of the play and gets more singing parts than hers. Anxiety does in Isabel, whose friend Theresa gets pregnant; and Alejandro, Don Andres' unico hijo, as they count the last days that they would be spending together. Deceit, conspiracy and suspicions take charge of the turn of events. Everyone does not want to attend the staging of the play, but they all have to be there to protect their interests and to bid their last farewell. View: Kolorete Trailer
