ON BORROWED TIME (RT: 65 minutes)
Making art can be a long, painful process, especially to those for
whom time is not a luxury. This smartly produced threesome profiles
the artist residing within a set of profoundly damaged souls, and
in the process allows a degree of empathy and understanding.

DANCING
STILL
(USA, 2001) Dir./Scr.: Yori Mochizuki
With her long-held dream of becoming a ballet dancer shattered,
Laura works a desk job at a talent agency. Embittered by both a
lame leg and a broken engagement, she regularly pores through classifieds
searching for a man that might change her fate. Her search becomes
a personal mission with a specific twist: the man must drive an
’84 Silver Cadillac Deville. Is it John, a good-looking guy
who drives the right car? Or is it the lone street-performing sax
player whose pleading, melancholy notes fill the emptiness of an
unassuming street?
