NOON AT NGAYON, a sequel to the hit film MORAL about the lives of four women growing up in the ‘80s, continues their journey twenty years later. The women, now matriarchs, are reunited and enter one another’s lives when Joey (Dina Bonnevie) returns home after living in the U.S. for years. Kathy (Jean Garcia) has given up her girlhood dream of becoming a singer—something which her teenaged daughter, Bernadette, seems to have inherited. Liberal Sylvia (Eula Valdez) ironically recoils at her grown son’s infertility. And Maritess (Cherry Pie Picache), a widow, has to contend with the complexities of being a mother to independent, self-asserting young adults.
