Rose is a drag queen. Roy is a Taoist priest. They are the same
person. When Roseís ex-boyfriend Sunny drowns, he is asked
by the family to perform the Taoist funeral rites to call the soul
home. The complications of serving the family, Sunny and the drag
sistersí come to bear on Rose. Unable to express himself
fully, Rose is left on the outside looking in. The film represents
the gay dilemma in Taiwan via the absurd, and explores the possibility
of reconciling the traditional and queer communities.
