VC Training and Workshops

Education is a fundamental part of Visual Communications’ mission. We see media training as not only teaching people how to use traditional and new media to tell their stories. It also includes a practice of sharing the tools and resources to create meaningful work and provide an outlet to share them with the greater public.

Instrumental in this is the VC Academy, a learning center which offers Film, Animation and Digital Arts training for all levels of community youth, adults and professionals. Developed over the course of Visual Communications’ 30-year history, the Academy is supported by a talented group of professional filmmakers, writers and instructors who believe in collective membership and “giving back” to the community.

Our commitment to the communities we serve is why, we believe, the VC Academy is unlike any other learning center.
