Festival Volunteer Opportunities
Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the festival. Their hard work and dedication are what make the festival run smooth and efficiently. If you would like to get involved this year, follow this link here where you will be taken to our volunteer sign-up mechanism. From there you can see all of the current opportunities and manage the shifts you would like to take over the festival. You make your own schedule and you may get to see great films and programming too!

Summer 2017 Internships
Marketing & Social Media Internship
The Marketing & Social Media Associate will work with staff and other interns to prepare and develop marketing and social media campaigns related to VC programming and the intern-led summer exhibition screening. This internship is part of The Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program that provides 10-week, full-time paid summer internships to eligible undergraduate college students.
- Experience with social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.
- Ability to work individually and in a team
- Enthusiastic about the work he or she will participate in
- Graphic design experience (e.g. Adobe Photoshop) is strongly preferred, but not required
Internship positions are open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2- or 4-year) college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Students must have completed at least one semester of college by June 1, 2017, or will complete their undergraduate degree between May 1 - September 1, 2017 in order to participate. Exhibitions Program Internship
The Exhibitions Program Associate will be the lead coordinator for the summer session of our VC year-round screening series. The project includes the overall planning of the event, under the supervision of the VC staff, which would entail direct participation in the selection of films and videos for the screening, outreach to the community, public relations, logistics and writing program notes for both the show program and the VC website. In addition, the associate would also assist in the final wrap up of the 2017 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival and assist in planning for Visual Communications's fund development activities. This internship is part of The Getty Foundation Multicultural Undergraduate Internship program that provides 10-week, full-time paid summer internships to eligible undergraduate college students.
Eligibility for the internships is limited to currently enrolled undergraduates who reside in or attend college in Los Angeles County. Students must have completed at least one semester of college by June 2017, and those who will complete their degree by September 1, 2017 are also eligible to apply. Candidates can be sought from all areas of undergraduate study and are not required to have demonstrated a previous commitment to the visual arts.
